Our Culture

The PMA knows that a healthy culture happens by design. In being proactive to create the culture we want, we decided:

We like each other.
Philippians 1:8
We encourage one another. We help one another. We laugh at silly stuff that happens to us. We answer the phone when someone calls. Pastors that join the PMA make an effort to like each other.

We speak honestly. We listen confidentially.
2 Corinthians 11:30
We’re free to say we are failing. We don’t have to puff up our numbers and pretend that everything is going great so we can measure up against other churches and pastors.

We are vulnerable in prayer requests.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
We allow this group to see under our hood so they can encourage us, share our burdens, and build us up. We certainly care about peace, justice, and the political climate, but besides all the problems in the world, we ask, “How can we pray for you, the person in front of us?”

We speak well about each other.
1 Peter 2:17
We might not agree with other churches’ theology and practice, but in the spirit of Christian unity, we speak well about other churches and their pastors to our congregants, parishioners, and community at large.

We are not a do-something group, but a be-something group.
Ephesians 2:13
We know pastors are busy. They’re way over their heads in work and responsibilities. The PMA isn’t here to create more stress and work for pastors. All we ask is to be yourself! If you’re a pastor or other Plateau ministry leader and you simply want to be yourself, that’s all we need from you.
