About Us

Gathering since the 1980s and formally founded in 1993, the Plateau Ministerial Association is a group of lead ministers and pastors from churches and parachurch organizations who meet monthly for fellowship and prayer for our communities in Black Diamond, Enumclaw, and Buckley.

In our meetings, you’d see us laughing together, praying for each other, sharing ideas, and working together to bring the love of Jesus Christ to the people of the beautiful place we call home — the Enumclaw Plateau.

What We Believe

We are a gathering of various traditions, each rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We all agree that the Apostle’s Creed unites in belief and that for the purpose of PMA, we will view other matters as non-essential to our fellowship.

The Apostles’ Creed

We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, Our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirt,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day, he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit
the holy Christian1 church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

1The original creed uses the word “catholic” which means “universal.” The traditional language of “catholic” has been changed to “Christian” due to common confusion between catholic (universal) and Roman Catholic (a denomination/tradition). The decision not to use “universal” is due to concerns that this might imply a universalism theology.
